Research is defined as systematic investigation designed to develop or contribute to general knowledge. The Cambridge English Dictionary describes it as ‘detailed study of a subject, especially in order to discover new information or reach new understandings.’ The Convert Community has been closely scrutinised over the years under the deeply depressing assumptions of being ‘bad or mad,’ ‘dangerous or eccentric’ with media representations almost entirely designed to bring about unpleasant reactions from society at large. Our aim is to pursue research that will inform us of the many facets of spiritual awakening made by the growing numbers who have embarked on these blessed journeys and the importance of telling our own stories and their benefit to those who may be on spiritual journeys of their own. Publishing information, research, stories, and experiences is hugely important to how we identify ourselves in the greater tapestry of life and is an important legacy to the generations that come after us.
