Helping mosques strengthen their support for new Muslims

Every Shahadah is an Amanah.

The Mosque Advisory Programme (MAP) is a collaborative programme from the Convert Muslim Foundation supporting mosques to better understand and respond to the needs and experiences of people who embrace Islam.

Through reflection, discussion and practical advice, we work alongside mosques to identify strengths, address challenges and share good practice.

MAP is not an inspection or accreditation. It is an opportunity to learn, reflect and improve.

---

Why does it matter?

For many people, taking their shahadah marks the beginning of a completely new chapter in their lives.

Mosques can play a vital role in providing welcome, belonging, learning and support. Yet the experience of new Muslims can vary considerably.

MAP helps mosques consider their current approach to convert care and identify practical ways to create a more welcoming, inclusive and supportive environment.

---
