The Convert Muslim Foundation, in partnership with the Turkish Diyanet Foundation in the United Kingdom, present an educational and cultural tour of Turkey. 

This uniquely tailored trip, specifically designed for converts to Islam, will include visits to places of Islamic Importance, historical heritage as well as educational seminars and arts & crafts workshops. The tour will include 3 days in Istanbul, 2 days in Bursa and 6 days in Konya. 

PLEASE NOTE: that you should be in good health and physically fit to participate in this tour as there will be a significant amount of walking involved in visiting places of interest.

DATES: 24 December 2023 - 4th January  2024

COST: £400 per person including flights, accommodation, food and transportation within Turkey (additional costs to participants include travel to and from UK Airport, insurance, visa and personal spending funds) 

ACCOMMODATION: Hotels and hostels

Accommodation will be in educational facilities to the Presidency of Religious Affairs or in hotels. All facilities are comfortable, clean and comply with the general principles of guest accommodation.

ROOM ALLOCATION: Accommodation consists of double & triple room (single beds) sharing.

ITNERARY: Visits, religious, educational and cultural activities are planned as follows:  

Istanbul 24-27 December 2023

Bursa 28-29 December 2023

Konya 30 December 2023 - 04 January 2024

FLIGHT DETAILS:

DEPARTURE: Luton to Istanbul at 14:25 (Wizz Air - W9 4499) 24/12/23

RETURN: Istanbul to Luton at 22:05 (Wizz Air - W9 4500) 04/01/24

BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE: 1 × Carry-on bag (40x30x20 cm), 1 × 20 kg Checked-in baggage

Interior travel will be by coach departing from Istanbul until your return there from Konya.

PASSPORT: UK passport holders require 6 months validity from travel dates. 

Travel Insurance recommended but optional based on personal choice.

VISAS: According to the visa requirements, UK citizens travelling from the UK and Ireland do not need a visa to travel to Turkey since 2020. For up to date Visa information:  Do I need a visa for Turkey? (e-visa.co.uk)

QUOTA: For this trip numbers are limited.  All places will be allocated on a ‘first come first serve’ basis and on registration with immediate payment.

ELIGIBILITY: The tour has been planned and subsidised for adult Muslim converts, regardless of how long ago they converted. Born or Heritage Muslim spouses may join this programme at a cost of £700 per person.

Children under the age of 18 will NOT be accepted to the tour
