Allison has had a keen interest in the Convert Muslim Foundation’s work since its inception and joined their operations team in early 2024. She came into Islam in 2010 and is passionate about the importance of excellent support for those exploring Islam and new to the Deen so that they have positive, cordial, meaningful, and memorable experiences wherever they are on their faith journey. Her academic background is in Medicine, Naturopathy, and Pharmacy. She has participated in NGO health and education projects in various parts of Tanzania. Currently she works part time between pharmacy and private clinics and is a hijama practitioner. Allison serves on the trustee board for her local Muslim Scout group, and on the committee for the Cambridge Muslim Homeschool Network. She is active at her local convert care organisation where she has undertaken ‘buddy’ training, and at Cambridge Central Mosque where she sometimes gives tours for visitors.
