Seerah Umrah Trip – Converts to Islam and their families (children 12 years and above)
Dates: TBC - Easter 2020
Duration: 10/11 days – 6 days in Makkah + 4 days in Madinah + travelling
Cost: £1,500 (incl. visas, flights, Hotel quad rooms sharing, breakfast, and all transport throughout)
Cost also includes a weekend at Markfield Conference Centre, 28 & 29th Feb / 1st March 2020, exploring finer aspects of the Life of Muhammad SAW and making practical preparations for the trip. Passports will be collected this weekend and submitted to Dometours for visa applications.
This journey, for converts to Islam and their families (children 12 years and above), has 40 – 45 spaces, half of which are already confirmed. All applications on a first come, first serve basis.
We will be accompanied by accomplished scholars who will enrich our trip with their knowledge

SEERAH UMRAH TRIP HIGHLIGHTS
MAKKAH
Kiswah Cloth Factory – visit the compound where the black cloth that surrounds the Kabah was woven – both the old and modern method
Museum of the two Holy Mosques – an opportunity to see lots of items and artefact from the Masjid Al Haram dating back hundreds of years
Hudabiyah Mosque – Masjid al-Hudaibiyah is a mosque that marks the location of the treaty of Hudaibiyah, a peace agreement between the Prophet (pbuh) and the Quraysh tribe of Makkah. Currently, known as Al-Syumaisi, the mosque acts as a miqat for Hajj pilgrims who intend to enter into Ihram. A new structure of mosque is built next to the ruins of old mosque.
Masjid Al Aqabah - This masjid, close to Mina, commemorates the spot where the Ansar of Madinah pledged their allegiance to the Prophet (ﷺ) in the year 621 CE. The group included leaders of the Aws and Khazraj tribes of Madinah and were twelve in number. The second such pledge called the second Aqabah pledge (Bay’ah Aqaba Thaaniya) took place the following year, the thirteenth year after the Prophet (ﷺ) proclaimed his Prophethood.
Makkah Historical Tour – a tour of the several historical sites located in and around Makkah

Fruit Market – A traditional market selling some of Taif’s amazing produce

Dar Al-Madinah – Museum of Islamic heritage and culture
Hijaz Historic Railway Museum – built on the grounds of the grounds of the restored Ottoman Railway
Qubaa Mosque – First ever Mosque built for worship of Islam in Madinah
Shuhaadah Uhud – Historical location for its significance to early Islam
Qur’an Printing Press – King Fahad printing press for the printing and worldwide distribution of the Holy Qur’an
Burial site of Hamza – companion and paternal uncle of Prophet Muhammad SAW
